Script di informazioni wireless

Il metodo più semplice e completo per raccogliere informazioni per aiutare a diagnosticare problemi wireless è eseguire lo script di informazioni wireless che abbiamo creato ai forum di Ubuntu per raccogliere tutte le informazioni più comuni necessarie mentre mascherare tutti i dati sensibili .

Apri un terminale con Ctrl + Alt + T ed esegui questi comandi:

wget -N -t 5 -T 10 https://github.com/UbuntuForums/wireless-info/raw/master/wireless-info &&
  chmod +x wireless-info &&
  ./wireless-info

Questo creerà il file "wireless-info.txt" nella posizione da cui viene eseguito e, a seconda delle sue dimensioni, un archivio aggiuntivo chiamato "wireless-info.tar.gz". Le informazioni sensibili come gli indirizzi MAC e le chiavi WPA / WEP sono mascherate automaticamente.

Se non riesci a connetterti a Internet con il sistema interessato, anche tramite una connessione cablata, dovrai spostare i file tra esso e un sistema connesso a Internet. Una penna USB sarebbe probabilmente il metodo più semplice per questo.

Di quali informazioni abbiamo bisogno? Questo:

  • Che cosa hai provato? Cosa è successo quando l'hai provato?
  • Cosa intendi con "non funziona"? L'applet indicatore sembra mostrare connettività ma non è possibile raggiungere alcuna pagina Web? L'applet indicatore è congelata? Non presente? È possibile selezionare una connessione dall'applet indicatore ma la password per quella connessione non funziona?
  • Qual è la marca della tua macchina e quale versione di Ubuntu stai eseguendo?
  • Ha mai funzionato? (cioè, ha funzionato per un po 'e ha smesso di funzionare? Funzionava sotto Windows ma non sotto Ubuntu? Funzionava sotto 12.04 ma non 13.10?)

La Guida alla risoluzione dei problemi wireless di Ubuntu sembra essere attuale, quindi potrebbe essere un punto di partenza. Alcuni comandi utili lì:

Se il tuo wireless ha funzionato in precedenza su questa installazione e vuoi risolvere una connessione:

  • nm-tool ti fornirà un rapporto sullo stato del tuo gestore di rete e sui dispositivi collegati.
  • rfkill abiliterà o disabiliterà i dispositivi di rete. rfkill --list elencherà tutti i dispositivi disponibili e fornirà alcuni indizi sul loro stato. Potrebbe essere necessario eseguirlo come root .
  • ifdown e ifup porteranno le interfacce di rete su e giù. Se hai modificato le impostazioni, l'arresto e l'avvio (come root) con ifdown wlan0 e ifup wlan0 possono essere d'aiuto.
  • Non sei sicuro di quale sia il nome delle tue interfacce di rete? Prova ifconfig -a

Se non sei sicuro di aver persino installato i driver, scopri con lshw se la tua scheda wireless è integrata, o lspci (per le schede PCI - meno probabile in questi giorni) o lsusb (per un dispositivo wireless USB). lshw -C network mostrerà i dettagli dell'hardware nella classe "rete", che è ciò che desideri. Anche in questo caso, potrebbe essere necessario eseguirlo come root .
