Ho fatto alcuni test su varie macchine per Precision 12.04 LTS sulle impostazioni del powertop Good / Bad. I miei risultati di ricerca sono qui:

Le modifiche migliori e meno rischi aggiunte al pacchetto pm-utils in Precise per risparmiare energia sulla batteria per laptop.

Usando un multimetro ad alta precisione era evidente che alcuni "buoni" consigli di risparmio di powertop potrebbero in realtà non essere così utili, quindi è necessario un sacco di prove ed errori e un modo accurato di valutare il consumo energetico per assicurarti di selezionare la configurazione ottimale per il tuo hardware.
